Golf History

The exact origin of the golf is still not transparent. But it is now universally accepted that this exiting game was originated in Scotland. The term golf may be a Scottish alteration of the word “Kolf”, which means “Stick”. The game of golf had been existed some 500 year back, as history of Scotland reveals that James II of Scotland had banned this sport because of the interference with archery in an Act of Parliament dated March 6, 1457.
